Charles heads up the Firm’s business and insurance litigation practice. He concentrates in the areas of business, commercial, and insurance defense litigation, insurance coverage, intellectual property, and maritime and construction law. He has led litigation teams in complex commercial, insurance defense and coverage and tort cases in every state and federal court in Maryland.
He is a graduate of Towson University and the University of Baltimore School of Law. Prior to joining the Firm, Charles spent nine years in managed care information systems development and design for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland.
Charles was an Assistant Casenotes Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review. He has written and lectured on Internet and intellectual property rights issues and teaches maritime law at the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is the past Skipper of the Mid Atlantic Mariner’s Club, an organization focused on the marine insurance industry.
Charles is a member of local, state, and federal bar associations. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
